Need to change your travel? We’re offering simple rebooking options without change fees

For those who need to change plans, we have used your feedback to simplify the process – making it easier for you to make changes and get credit for future travel.

Helping you change your flight

Any ticket booked for travel in March or April 2020, or booking in March 2020, qualifies for waived change fees. Just visit the My Trips section of delta.com to understand your options. These may include rebooking on alternate Delta flights or partner airlines, or receiving a credit for future travel. Read more information on rescheduling options here.

In many instances customers can change a flight online, any time before your travel date, using My Trips on delta.com. Step-by-step instructions are available here.

In addition, any Delta ticket expiring in March or April is being extended to enable rebooking and travel until Dec. 31, 2020.  

We’ve broadly waived change fees

We have listened to you and simplified our travel waivers, which allow customers to make a change to travel plans without a change fee.

Bottom line: Delta is broadly waiving change fees for travel affected by COVID-19/coronavirus. That means all travel departing in March or April 2020, as well as all tickets purchased in March 2020. See delta.com for details.

Can’t reach us? We’ve got your back

While our Reservations specialists are working around the clock to assist customers, frustratingly long wait times continue due to very high call volumes. Since our teams are focused on helping customers whose travel is scheduled within the next 72 hours, we encourage those with travel further out to use My Trips, or contact us  closer to your trip.

Whenever your travel may be, rest assured that all changes will be processed and applicable credits will be issued; if you don’t take your flight, your ticket number automatically becomes an unused eCredit within 24 hours that can be used to rebook a flight in My Trips or with Delta Reservations.

We’ve capped fares this month

To ensure customers can travel with financial peace of mind, Delta will cap fares to and from all destinations Delta serves throughout the U.S. and Canada through March 31. Delta last week capped one-way fares for travel to and from Europe, the U.K. and Ireland through March 22. These fare caps are in place in all cabins, from Delta One to Main Cabin.
